Steven H. Bontempi

Steven H. Bontempi is the founder of Strategic Financial Services, an insurance and financial firm based in Atlanta, Georgia. His knowledge and experience span a wide range of financial products and services focusing on the accumulation and preservation of assets and wealth. He is recognized nationally as a financial resource to businesses and individuals.

A professional with an extensive wealth of experience, Mr. Bontempi has distinguished himself nationally as a popular lecturer on various issues such as estate conservation, wealth preservation, risk management and retirement planning. He is also an instructor at Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, Georgia teaching the subjects of CFP® Fundamentals, Estate Planning and Risk Management and Insurance.

A graduate of the University of Hartford, Mr. Bontempi earned his Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Seton Hall University School of Law and studied for his Master of Laws in Taxation (LL.M.) at Case Western Reserve University. In addition to membership in the Atlanta Bar Association, he has passed the bar examination in several states. 

After practicing law as a sole practitioner, Mr. Bontempi redirected his career with The Ayco Company L.P. as an attorney providing objective financial counseling, tax and investment advice for corporate employees and individuals. From there, Mr. Bontempi was named Vice President and Director of National City Corporation’s Corporate Executive Services division providing financial planning and wealth management strategies to high net worth corporate executives. His tenure with National City lasted until his decision to join AXA Advisors, LLC in 2001.

Steven now works with his clients at New England Financial and is a facilitator for the MetLife retirewise© program. His education and experience has given him a rich perspective from which to help his clients work toward building their financial goals.

Steven, his wife Vanessa and daughters Mia, Hayden and Sabrina reside in Powder Springs, Georgia. They are actively involved with church, youth and civic activities in the local community. Mr. Bontempi is also a musician holding principal positions with the Cobb Wind Symphony and the Zephyr Brass Choir.
